If you follow this network, perhaps you'd have caught the flyer for the Day of the Dead Parade, located on the Instagram.com/nhvorg account.  The awesome design is very similar to what you see in the actual parade; a train full of specially decorated creatures from the afterlife.  And if you catch the video, perhaps it's enough to get a viewer not only to appreciate the event, from the appearance of the activities involved in preparation; maybe it's enough to get a viewer to wish to attend the following year.

To the people who were there, the effort was worth it. The parade went forth onto Blatchley Ave. with tremendous success.  The event was sponsored by the Bregamos Theatre, at Erector Square.

Background music by Jose, not an organizer of this particular event but a performer of music in #Nhv.

Parade is likely to include tons of music from various schools and marching bands around the area.  This will be a kid-friendly environment, intended to be fun for children and families so please note the public drinking ordinances and keep that in mind.  There will be time for beer after the parade, when everyone will get belligerent at local pubs around the area.  

You will know it is time to turn the page when you hear the bagpipes on Sun at 1:30.

Saint Paddys Parade New Haven 2012 Preview

Plan between businesses and government seems to be curbing the public drinking.  Better for businesses to be in control of the distribution of beer and other drinks to parade goers than leaving it up to lawlessness.  That seems to be the message in this next video.
