A group of community-minded people in Fair Haven spent a productive Saturday afternoon yesterday cleaning rubbish that had been discarded from pedestrians and passing vehicles on Ferry Street and Grand Avenue. Among them, activist Kenneth Reveiz (renowned also for spearheading the Peoples' Arts Collective in New Haven), Celestino Cordova (a veteran and active citizen in Fair Haven), and Santiago Barrios-Bones, the local alderman. The event took place on a gorgeous Autumn afternoon, as a stray dog meandered the C-Town parking lot. Paper cups, plastic bags, and aluminum beer cans seemed endless, and were covered up by fallen leaves.
