Citywide Open Studios kicks off tonight with the Grand Opening Reception at ArtSpace.
In addition, other arts events are taking place downtown in 9th Square New Haven tonight.

Explore the artistic riches of New Haven at Artspace's City-Wide Open Studios. Visual artists from across Connecticut are opening their doors at studios and temporary spaces around the city over three weekends in October 2012. Start at the central hub exhibition at Artspace to see one representative work from each participating artist. Look for special crystal-themed art and events celebrating the crystal anniversary of CWOS.
Free and open to the public, CWOS a wonderful opportunity to see artists at work and buy affordable art directly from them.
In conjunction, CreateOn9 is bringing you L.A.M.P. which involves projectionists spread out throughout the 9th Square area of New Haven.  |

Create On9 celebrates New Haven’s rich arts scene with a Creative Crawl through New Haven's Historic 9th Square. Other art related events Artspace New Haven’s City Wide Open Studios L.A.M.P.(Light Artists Making Places) | begins at 8pm Most evening events are scheduled from 6 to 8pm, however, several of the activities begin earlier.
