The goal for the event was to raise funding for CitySeed.Org, a local organization dedicated to farmers' markets and fresh food. On their site:
"What began in 2004 with four New haven neighbors in search of a fresh, local tomato, has grown into a statewide effort to get more local food to more people, promoting community development and sustainable agriculture in Connecticut." -CitySeed

There was also fire Hula Hoopers (Robin Weiss and Lady Blaze), a mechanical bull, Prizes and giveaways, and the all-inclusive yet ever elusive free beer.
