You will not be seeing this art piece at this year's parade.
First, he painted it in the middle of the parade. During the parade. He said that the only interruption was when some woman puked next to where he was painting. No one bothered him the whole time, and in spite of the fact that he had no permission, he was able to concentrate on the piece.
The owner of the building apparently has no understanding or recognition for the value of the piece, because since it was painted, it's been removed. The artist was never contacted or reached to be congratulated for his masterpiece.
Only In New Haven: The owner of the building is museum director at the Yale Art Gallery. Clearly he knows talent when he sees it!
