Last Night at Marsh Botanical Garden

Really fun event you might have missed, if you were not one of the 20 people in attendance.  Three musicians played at the Marsh Botanical Garden last night, and they were quite good.  On display also were a bunch of carnivorous plants, which were interesting to look at.  Audio from one guitarist as well as some close-up footage of the plants have been connected into a short video to demonstrate the experience.

You can find out more about this event by researching any of the following:

Other performers last evening included Trevor Healy and Colorguard.
Trevor Healy also makes his own guitars.

Plants Like Music (And So Do We)

Usually most music events are announced on the Local Scene page, but since it's taking place in a room full of plants, that's grounds for some exception.  On this page, preview some of the sounds you might expect to hear at this performance and ask yourself, "if I were a plant, would this make me want to grow?"  If you think it would make you grow, then perhaps you might want to go.  Samples below.

About Trevor Healy:
"Trevor Healy is a luthier and guitarist based in Easthampton, MA. A life-long musician, he has also devoted his life to instrument making since graduating from the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in 1999. He went on to work with guitar maker Roger Sadowsky in Brooklyn, NY and in the repair shop of Gary Brawer in San Francisco, CA." -source:  Soundcloud
