Traffic has been blocked on the corner of College and Crown on account of a giant sinkhole. Detours around the area have been marked by a perimeter of roadblocks: one on College and Chapel, the other on Temple and Crown. It's advised to avoid the area, taking wide detours to get to the highway using State Street and / or George, depending on your direction. Don't take the way past the Criterion to get to the highway, in other words. It simply won't work, and you'll be wondering why you didn't listen to the wise words on Nhv.Org as you await patiently for traffic to clear so you can get home.
There might also be a map if I have time to make one. That's the news for now, in terms of Traffic for Downtown New Haven, Connecticut.
Apparently there is a #sinkhole in #nhv on the corner of college and crown...yikes. pic.twitter.com/wk9tzXkDlz
