Something To Do this Saturday

Cool People New Haven here on Nhv.Org!
If you've ever wanted the opportunity to meet someone who has done something amazing, today is the day.

Few people can say they've given away an organ. Most of those who can are actually musicians. But one young man's ambition was to save the life of his uncle. Perhaps a generous songwriter could sing a song about that. Currently, Dom's liver is growing back. He is getting better and giving back to the community in various ways, as he is a kind and generous person.

You can meet Dominic and speak to him in person at his parents' house all day during lunch. if you would like to ask him about the experience. His family and friends are hosting a pizza lunch benefit to help with the incurrence of medical costs associated with the organ transplant.

Dom, with his uncle, who received part of his liver.
Another example of an organ transplant would be if they took the Wurlitzer from the NHVLighthouse carousel and installed it in Woolsey Hall. The Paglia organ transplant in fact is deemed a much better for for the recipient. Dominic went on a healthy diet of not drinking beer for a decent period of time, as his liver prepared for takeoff. The family graciously would accept a $30 donation in light of this cause, but you're also welcome to give more.

The catering for the event will be provided by the iSliceNHV truck, a mobile branch of the Da Legna pizza restaurant on State Street.
