This site might appear, at times, to contain great high-quality photos in a neat slideshow format but rest assured this is not a photo blog! It is, in fact, a journal (periodical), as well as a source for information about where to go and what to do. Last week, we saw both clear and cloudy skies as the city solved remaining tree issues with our post-Sandy cleanup. InsideOutNhv took down their wheat-pasted photographs, still leaving behind quite a mess. And the New Haven Green exhausted all of its remaining water to prevent freezing of the pipes over the winter. There are some photos of the underground which leads to the irrigation system for the Green. 195 Church Street repaved their front walkway, Humphrey Street was paved, and the painting in the main lobby of The Grove at 71 Orange Street was removed.
Every photo tells a story, and New Haven has many stories to tell. People from out of town may come to move here, to live here and take pictures. But it's always the stories of our lives which make the place interesting and ultimately give it the personal touch that makes life the human experience that it is.
