#NHVGo Instagram Contest Proves Successful

On July 7, the game of Pokemon Go became available, which has led to a rise in popularity unprecedented for smartphone games. In response, NHV.org has followed up with an online game involving discovery of places in New Haven, CT using the #NHVgo hashtag:

The results of the game have been positive. Restaurants ahve offered rewards to winners who take photos of items around town. So far, the first two contests were (1) libraries and (2) outdoor sculptures. The first winner is an installer at the Yale Center for British Art, winning a prize of $50 at Miya's Sushi on Howe Street. The second winner had this to say about the contest:

"It was fun! I needed some motivation to get out n about."

Launching typically around lunch on Tuesdays, the #NHVGo Instagram photo hunting contest is open to the public, and maintains a few simple restrictions; for example, private accounts are unable to participate due to the settings involved in the privacy features of Instagram.

The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram (per the specifications on their "help" page) and winners can receive their prizes simply by receiving it in person or through the mail. Participants are only allowed one winning contest per year.

Those are the rules! Win real prizes by finding places that exist in real life.
