The Music Scene

This website Network represents a change in the way that media will be produced in the 21st century.  Since the parameters allow ordinary people to produce their own media, the site has been developed with the intent to produce something which facilitates public accessibility, with a set of rules pertaining to curation which keeps the information consistently relevant.

Why Is The Music Scene Not Fully Represented on Nhv.Org?
Since there are so many local bands in town here, the info has been separated from the info on this feed.  Lately though, there have been tons of songs and videos uploaded that you can watch.

Why Post Everything About The Local Music Scene?
It's important to collect information about what's going on.  The site operates as more of a database of current and past information, such that you can browse endlessly about arts and culture which is particular to this geographic area.

What's Up With The Music Scene Calendar?
People will do this soon, with the Miyas Sushi incentive program that has been developed.  Any events posted with the NHV Calendar System is also auto-tweeted and posted to the attributed Facebook page, so it's a win-win for events promoters looking to expand their reach to a wider audience.

Is it A Commercialized Site?
No, not at all.  Much like this one, it is not hooked up to Google Adwords, and maintains a minimalist approach with regards to its advertisement policy.  The goal is to boost the community as a whole, and not so that one member or an inside group can benefit in ways which others cannot.

However, it's open to the idea of supporting local artists who are looking to extend their reach into the commercial market by public awareness of their existence.  Teeshirt printers, graphic designers, and videographers can use the site to promote themselves, simply by accessing it through their Google accounts, which they're welcome to.  (Find forms under "Add Content").

TownOfNewHaven.Org is designed to perform all, if not more, of the functions of the New Haven Advocate (CT.Com) by the end of the year.
