Neat! Card Catalog Stopmotion Video

Yale University Card Catalog from Ellen Su on Vimeo.

Sterling Memorial Library
This was filmed in Sterling Library in New Haven, CT.  It's a very clever one-minute presentation and I think it's worth that minute to watch.  Enjoy!  (Provided by @Yale).

Back in the day, libraries used extensive systems of notecards in these specially designed file containers to help students and researchers find books.  Also of note, the official Wikipedia page for "Library Catalog" features not just one but two pictures of Sterling Memorial Library.  Neat!

If that interests you, there's also information about classification of books, the Dewey Decimal System.
