New Haven Department of Transportation Director Doug Hausladen was on site today visiting the installation of a much-needed pedestrian walkway at the intersection of Audubon Ct and Whitney Avenue. For the past few days, this intersection has been closed to traffic due to the road construction, but it looks as though the situation should be ready to handle vehicles by tomorrow morning, said Hausladen today, in so many words. The bump-out idea is supposed to make it safer for people to cross, and to slow down traffic a little bit in that area. We look forward to seeing the completed project.
